Keto At Disney World – The Polite Pig

Keto Friendly At Disney Springs

Hey! Before we get started, I want to take a minute to introduce myself. I’m Bonnie, yes a guy named Bonnie… and I’ve lost 82 pounds (and still counting) eating keto at Disney.

I typically tell people I’ve lost weight eating and walking at Disney, so I’m proof positive that it can be done! If you’re coming to Disney World and are looking for keto friendly options, I’ve written a post called “Eating Keto At Disney” and now I want to dive deeper into some of the restaurants I mentioned in the post.

I’m starting with The Polite Pig simply because I eat at this Disney Spring BBQ place once or twice each week and love it!! They know me by name and even know my standard order by heart, down to ordering an extra side of Jalapeños and extra lemon for my water!

The Polite Pig is a locally owned, one of a kind, eatery that was personally asked to come to Disney Springs. Its sister, “The Ravenous Pig” is wildly popular. I’m guessing “polite” was a much friendlier option for Disney?

If you’re eating a keto friendly diet, you know that smoked meats are ideal, so this make The Polite Pig a great keto friendly option while visiting Disney World.

Location Of The Polite Pig

The Polite Pig is easily the most convenient restaurant to access at Disney Springs. It’s located at the bottom of the escalator of the Lime Garage. As you come off of the escalator it’s immediately on the right. In other words, it’s easy to get to this keto friendly restaurant, even in the pouring rain!

The Polite Pig is right next to the fountain in Town Center, so save some room for shopping because there are tons of stores (including The World of Disney) near The Polite Pig.

You can get your keto and shopping on all in one stop!

Keto At A Disney Counter Service

The Polite Pig is part of the Disney Dining Package and is considered a Quick Service dining option. As far as quick service options go, this is one of the best when it comes to value and taste – it’s simply delicious!

Quick Service at Disney simply means that you wait in line to place your order. Once you place your order you are given a pager to put on your table and then your order is delivered to your table.

I avoid the line by eating at their bar and placing my order there. Their bar staff provide an excellent service and do their best to give me keto friendly options when I ask about certain specials or meals.

Even with this being a counter service, I have found them to be very accommodating when it comes to making substitutions / additions / deletions around my keto diet. For instance, their BBQ sauce, like most sauces, have more sugar than I would like, so they are happy to leave it off.

While their Brussels Sprouts are some of my favorites I’ve ever eaten, they do add a whiskey glaze to them that appears to be very sugary, so it’s good to ask for no sauce. They’re always happy to oblige.

For a great keto friendly counter service option, The Polite Pig is definitely at the top of the list!

Best Keto Options At The Polite Pig

Pork Shoulder, BBQ Cauliflower, Brussels Sprouts – Keto friendly

My go-to keto meal at The Polite Pig at Disney Springs is the Pork Shoulder, BBQ Cauliflower, and Brussels Sprouts. I also get a side of pickled Jalapeños because they are the best Jalapeños I’ve ever had! PLEASE NOTE – The BBQ Cauliflower is basted in their BBQ Sauce before it is smoked and deep fried…. you can ask for it without the sauce. The Brussels Sprouts are basted with a whiskey glaze before served. They’re good both ways!

Smoke Turkey, Slaw, Brussels Sprouts – GREAT Keto friendly meal at Disney World!

Recently, The Polite Pig has added Smoked Turkey to their menu, and it tastes amazing! The Pork Shoulder is still my favorite, but this turkey was so GREAT!

I love ordering the Brisket Sandwich (without the bread, of course) and I’m always amazed at the large portion of brisket they serve. It’s absolutely delicious!

While sausage is always a bit risky because of the fillers and sugars added, their cheddar sausage is phenomenal! The ribs do come with sauce brushed on, but they are happy to leave it off. While I’ve only ordered the ribs twice, they are very good, but I do fear they have extra sugar added to the preparation.

Other Keto friendly options I’ve tried is the Brisket, Chicken Salad, Cheddar Sausage, Ribs and Chicken. I can honestly say that everything I’ve tried here has been great! NOTE: They did have smoked broccoli on the menu that I didn’t like at all – but that didn’t last on the menu too long.

With smoked meats like this on the menu, it’s easy to see why this is one of the best keto options at Disney World!

Keto In Disney Style!

Since The Polite Pig is located in Disney Springs, of course it comes with pretty awesome theming and cool decor. The setting is that of an old farmers market.

Did you know you could eat keto in Disney in such a stylish way??

All of their sauces are available – but beware of the hidden sugars! The BBQ Ranch is low carb.
There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating at The Polite Pig.
You’e able to see into the kitchen and see their smoker too!
Admit it, that pig looks pretty polite, doesn’t it?

Menu For Polite Pig

I’ll share a copy of the menu here, direct from The Polite Pig.

People always ask me “Where can I eat that’s keto friendly at Disney?” …and The Polite Pig is always on the list that I share! After reading this, I hope you can see why. It’s delicious food, it’s a cool atmosphere and it’s BBQ…. so you really can’t go wrong!

I recently shared a post called “What Is A Typical Day On Keto” and I even shared some of my keto friendly meals from The Polite Pig there – it’s pretty obvious I love this place, isn’t it??

In short rib, lol, if you’re looking for keto friendly options for your trip to Disney World, The Polite Pig should definitely be added to your list of top options! Eating keto at Disney is not only possible, I do it every almost every day!

I found your blog on Pinterest and i looooooooooove disney! I have been to Los Angeles and Orlando but it is very expensive for us. I have been to Paris five or six times. But it is not that big like Orlando.

I discovered celebration a few years after our holiday in Florida and I absolutely want to go back and see this lovely town! It is a dream to live there. Enjoy every single minute there!

Keep up the good work. Looks like you are doing great. Get healthy and stay healthy. Be proud of what you have achieved so far.

But I wonder if it isn’t very expensive to eat at Disney that often. And second wouldn’t it be easier for your diet if you just cooked at home and buy like keto bbq sauce or ranch dressing ?

And also do you have a job? Or how do you afford living there. I guess it must be very expensive for you too!

Hey Kristina! I soooo want to go to Paris and experience Disneyland there! It’s so awesome that you’ve been there that many times.

Most of my meals are cooked and prepared at home. I do my meal preps each Sunday, but I love dining out and taking advantage of all that Disney has to offer. With so many friends coming to town, I find myself eating with them while they vacation here.

I currently have a couple of income streams, but this is the year I am going to make my blog and online business full time!

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for commenting!!
