Keto At Disney World
I may have done the “impossible” and figured out a way to eat keto at one of the most popular ice cream shops in all of Disney World, Beaches & Cream. Over the past year or so I have been walking and eating at Disney World while simultaneously taking back my life and health. I’ve lost 82 pounds (and still counting) while eating keto at Walt Disney World.
And let me tell you, I love eating keto at Disney World. The restaurants are cool, the food taste amazing and the Disney vibes are the best!
Before starting keto, Beaches & Cream was one of my favorite restaurants. And the reason is pretty simple: They have amazing burgers, fries and the most amazing ice cream sundae called, No Way Jose.
Beaches & Cream is an old fashioned soda shop located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. It’s situated right next to the most amazing pool area – and what goes better than spending time at the pool than ice cream?? ….or at least that was my life before starting keto.
Eating keto at Disney is always balanced with some form of temptation. This is definitely the case at Beaches & Cream. While there are keto options at Beaches & Cream, you will also be surrounded by the sights and smells of ice cream, sweets and everything tempting. Know what you’re up against before heading to Beaches & Cream to eat keto.
Getting To Beaches & Cream / Disney’s Beach Club
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is located at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club with an outside entrance just outside the gates of their amazing pool. It’s a short walk from the Epcot’s International Gateway (Between France and the UK Pavilions), Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, and the Swan & Dolphin Hotels, all in the Epcot Resort area.
Keto Friendly Options At Beaches & Cream
First of all, let’s keep in mind that Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is an old fashioned ice cream parlor and 50’s themed soda shop. Do not expect health food. However, as is typically the case at Disney, the chefs and the servers are willing to work with you to make sure your dietary needs are met.
The Chicken Salad typically comes on a croissant and is served with fries. I was perfectly content with ordering the chicken salad and not having anything else come with it. However, the server kept offering suggestions on how they could serve it and how they could make substitutions.
As you can see, they came up with something not only beautiful, but very tasty as well!
Since I am sharing the burger as a keto friendly option at Beaches & Cream, I should probably express my infatuation with cheeseburgers.
By default, I order burgers because that’s what I like. It could easily appear that the only keto friendly options at Disney World are the burgers if I were not intentional in finding a wide variety of options. I like burgers, so they keep finding their way into this “Keto At Disney World” series I’ve been writing.
Other Keto Friendly Options At Beaches & Cream
Here’s a link to the full menu at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop if you want to check it out.
A few of the options that could work:
The Egg Salad
The Turkey Sandwich without the bread and fries
The Grilled Chicken Sandwich without the bread.
Like a typical 50’s soda shop, the food is prepared right in front of you, so it’s easy to speak with the server or the cook and get the perfect keto meal prepared right in front of you.

How Many Carbs Are In These Meals?
Recently I’ve been asked how many carbs and how much sugar are in the meals I’ve suggested in this Keto at Disney series I’ve been writing. This is where YOU have to be comfortable with YOUR personal knowledge and YOUR personal dietary restrictions.
I’ve yet to be able to find the nutritional labels or stats for any of the meals at Disney World (except for Blaze Pizza). So I base my suggestions on my experience with foods I prepare at home or the information found from restaurants who do provide the nutrition label.
That’s also why I suggest very basic meals – meat, a veggie and cheese and no sauces.
I also have a blood ketone meter, so I check to make sure my body stays in a state of ketosis.
When I started eating keto, I knew that for my keto lifestyle to be sustainable I would need to be able to go out to eat and also frequently eat at Disney. It’s part of the equation of my social, business and exercise life…. (I walk 5 miles a day at Disney a few days each week) so I had to learn how to make educated guesses.
I quickly learned that nothing would be as clean and as controlled as eating at home. But this was not sustainable long term, so I had to figure it out.
Eating keto at Disney is easy, but it’s not as clear and well defined as eating at home in a perfectly controlled environment, but it’s totally doable.

Beware Of Temptation While On Keto
I must confess, I was very proud of myself for going to Beaches and Cream, eating keto and not being the slightest bit tempted by all the ice cream concoctions. They literally were making their specialty, “Kitchen Sink,” right in front of me…but I was not tempted at all.
However, had I done this my first month on keto, I don’t know if I would have been able to handle it. You have to know your personal limits when it comes to facing this kind of situations.
I always walk through the confectionary / sweet shop on Main Street USA just to enjoy the sights and smells from the infamous sweet shop. If you can’t handle it, don’t put yourself in that kind of position.
This whole Keto Lifestyle thing is designed for the long haul for me. I’m in this to keep losing weight, keep feeling better and to get myself in the best shape possible. Eating keto at Disney World is not only possible, it’s absolutely yummy, too!
Do you have some favorite Keto friendly meals from Disney World? If so, I’d love for you to share them with me in the comments. I need to try them!
