Eating Keto At Disney World

Eating Keto At Disney World

Keto Food At Disney World?

If you know anything about me at all, you know I love eating at Disney World! And now I love eating keto at Disney World!

Each week I walk the parks a few times and have lost 79 pounds (so far!) in the process.  I knew the food at Disney would either make me or break me when I started my keto lifestyle.

It’s the amazing restaurants, the delicious snacks, sweets, eating around the World at Epcot and trying everything possible to get all of that magical yumminess!. When I started living a keto lifestyle, I had to figure out if eating keto at Disney World was even possible!?

Two or three times each week I eat at Disney, so I had to find numerous keto friendly options in order to experience as many of the dining options as possible.  Today I want to share some of my favorite keto options at Disney World with you.

Disclaimer about the keto options at Disney:  I’ve yet to find an official nutrition guide from Disney, so the keto options I have make a LOT of assumptions about nutritional counts.  However, the restaurants all have sheets that will tell you about the ingredients in each entree. I frequently measure my blood ketone level using a Keto Mojo blood meter, so I know I stay in ketosis when eating keto at Disney, even without knowing the exact macros.

My 7 Favorite Keto Meals At Disney World

Keto at Disney Springs

Keto At The Polite Pig At Disney Springs

This is my go-to meal at least once a week.  Smoked pork shoulder, roasted cauliflower and a little bit of the slaw.  They also have some amazing roasted Brussels Sprouts too that you will absolutely love!

Keto at Disney's Yacht Club

Keto At Ale & Compass At Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club

Bacon & Vermont Cheddar Burger.  No bun.  Broccolini instead of fries.  I know, I know, it’s a burger a Disney World, big surprise!  …but seriously, this burger is so good!  You’ll also love the New York Strip and half chicken at Ale & Compass.

While this is a table service meal at Disney, it’s rather new so it’s rather easy to get a last minute reservation here, too.  Keto at Ale & Compass is easy.  Like most Disney dining, the chefs are happy to make substitutions for your dietary needs.

Breakfast and dinner at Boma provides all kinds of keto options for you!  I seriously can not decide if I like dinner better at Boma or their amazing breakfast buffet.  There’s always an abundance of meat options, in addition to the carving station and wood fired grill options.

There are plenty of cheeses offered and for breakfast you can have omelets made to order, along with eggs prepared any way you like.

As I mentioned before, I’ve not been able to find nutritional information from Disney for their menus, so MyFitnessPal and Google are my friends when eating at buffets.

Warning:  The number dessert and sweets included on Boma’s buffet is tremendous, so if you are easily tempted, this is not a good keto option for you.  If you’re able to pick and choose from a buffet, you’ll find a LOT of delicious food.

Keto at Disney's Plaza Restaurant

Keto at The Plaza Restaurant At Magic Kingdom

Bun-less Chicken Sandwich with bacon and cheese and a wedge salad.  Can we just say YUMMY????

There’s also a cheese steak sandwich and an Italian sub sandwich here that are great keto options as well.  Bun-less of course, but you knew that, right??

Keto at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Keto at Baseline Tap House in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate is absolutely incredible!  Okay, so yes, this is only a cheese and meat plate, but let’s be honest, when you’re eating keto you end up eating lots of “snacks” for meals.

And yes, of course I ordered it without the toasted baguettes.

The atmosphere of this place is so cool under the lights with the sights and sounds of L.A. all around.  It’s an incredible place to just go and chill before watching Fantasmic.

keto at Disney Epcot

Keto at Le Cellier in Epcot

Black Angus Ribeye with Asparagus.  Let’s be honest, Le Cellier is notorious for their amazing atmosphere, service and amazing steaks.  It’s a steakhouse, so obviously you have a vast array of keto options in the form of steaks.  With steak, asparagus and broccoli on the menu, you can’t go wrong!

keto at Olivia's Cafe - Disney's Old Key West

Keto at Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West Resort

Slow Cooked Prime Rib & Seasonal Veggies.  I love the prime rib at Olivia’s.  Matter of fact, I love Olivia’s!  You can even get an amazing keto friendly omelet here for breakfast.  It may just be my favorite breakfast entree in all of Disney, even before I ate keto it was my favorite.

So these are my seven favorite keto meals at Disney.  When you realize that the chefs are more than happy to accommodate your diet restrictions, it makes finding options at most of the restaurants possible.

Keto Friendly Quick Service Options at Disney World

While most of the meals I mentioned in my top 7 list are table service experiences, in reality, most meals at Disney are consumed through “counter service” or “quick services” options.

Here are some keto quick service options for each of the parks.  I’m not saying they are the only keto quick service options at Disney, they are just ones I’ve tried and have enjoyed.

Keto At Magic Kingdom (Quick Service)

Pecos Bill – they have a toppings bar that allows you to customize options from their Mexican themed menu.
Casey’s Corner – Bun-less hotdogs are a thing!
Cosmic Ray’s – Roasted Chicken, Bun-less sandwiches, burgers
Tortuga Tavern – Turkey Leg – enough to feed two on keto!!

Keto at Animal Kingdom (Quick Service)

Flame Tree Barbecue – Smoked chicken, pork, ribs – so delicious!
Harambe Market – Steak Skewer, Beef & Pork Sausage, Grilled Chicken Skewer, Roasted Veggies. This places is very tasty!
Restaurantosaurus – Grilled Chicken BLT, Bacon Cheeseburger – and they have guac!
Satu’li – Woodfired grill meats and bowls to order – you definitely have to create your own keto friendly option here, but the meat is AMAZING!

I also found some amazing buffalo chicken wings from a kiosk near Pizzafari, but I’m not sure of the name of the cart – but dang they were delicious!

Keto at Hollywood Studios (Quick Service)

ABC Commissary – Chicken & Ribs Combo
Backlot Express – Royal Guard Burger, Angus Cheeseburger (Bun-less), Chili-cheese all beef hot dog.
Base Line Tap House – California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate

Keto at Epcot (Quick Service)

I’ll be honest, I have struggled to find really good keto options at Epcot, other than my standard-always-fall-back-on-it bun-less bacon cheeseburger options.

Seasons (The Land) – Roasted chicken, sandwiches without the bread
Germany – Bratwurst – SO GOOD!  Remove the bun, add some mustard and BAM! Keto friendly at Disney!

Do you have some keto favorites from Epcot?  If so, please share them with me!  I’d love to include some additional suggestions for keto friendly food at Disney World.
